KINGS OF CONVENIENCE
Erlend Øye and Eirik Glambek Bøe

Oh boy—these guys, these legends. Such a pleasure to capture Erlend and Eirik joking around the streets of NY just hours before their stunning concert at the Webster Hall.
We had just 10 minutes for the shoot and of course we got couple of classic on-location moments.
One: at Webster Hall’s service entrance. How is it that the most unexpected spots always have the perfect light? Looking at the pictures, you’d never guess the chaos happening around our feet. Dodging workers and weaving between deliveries, we somehow managed to snap these black-and-white gems. I’m still not sure how.
And two: while crossing 3rd Avenue, an ecstatic fan spotted them from her car and completely freaked out. She even stopped traffic, shouting “Eooooooooooooo!” No surprise there—these two are widely acclaimed as one of the most influential indie-folk bands of all time. They wouldn’t be the Kings without some well-deserved recognition.
