Sometimes a portrait session becomes more than a shoot — it turns into a conversation about passion, art,
and the city itself.
 

I photographed Valerie Steele, the brilliant curator and director of The Museum at FIT, for my absolutely favorite Spanish weekly magazine, El País Semanal. A true New Yorker — sharp, warm, and endlessly curious.

Her exhibition "Dress, Dreams & Desire" explores fashion, fantasy, and the subconscious — and it was such a privilege to capture her, glasses and all, in her own world, surrounded by the ideas that have shaped decades of fashion history.
